The Specialist Palliative Care Service is based on the Long Jetty Health Care campus, and requires a permanent part time dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse to work across different locations, including with hospital patients referred to our consultation service, working in Intake/Triage or based in the community seeing people at home or in RACFs. Work hours are 0830 to 1700 5 days a fortnight [not usually weekends]. Experience in Palliative Care or Community Nursing is preferred. Days may be set or slightly flexible, depending on the Service needs. The role works with other team members to support clients and their families through to End of Life care and death. The role may require participation in an on call roster from 5.00pm to 8.30pm after a qualifying period. The position is varied and interesting and requires a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and eMR. 

A solid individualised orientation program is provided for new Team members, where you will learn all aspects of the role. We are a small multi-disciplinary team who works collaboratively to support patients and families across the Central Coast. A current Australian driver's license is a prerequisite.
