This is a front line nursing position with responsibility for witnessing the administration of S8 & S4 drugs and providing nursing care to consumers who are opioid dependent. The position is full time Monday to Friday, based at Kullaroo Clinic, Gosford Hospital.

What you'll be doing

The position of Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Enrolled Nurse exists within Drug & Alcohol Service (DAS), CCLHD. The position requires an experienced clinician to witness the administration of S8 drugs and provide care to consumers who are opioid dependant. The role includes the development of treatment plans in collaboration with other staff and consumers.

The position also requires a good understanding of a full range of drug and alcohol treatments and the ability to communicate and liaise with a variety of services. The role will extend to supporting other service activities as directed.

The service works collaboratively with other health and non-health service providers and GPs. The CCLHD Drug & Alcohol Service provides ongoing supervision, education and training in the drug and alcohol field for all staff.
