Outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced Workforce Manager with HCA.

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Workforce Managers.

HCA is operating a primary Healthcare service for a cohort of up to 4000 people within the Hotels Quarantine project.
Reporting to Director Clinical Operations, as the Workforce Lead, you will support workforce planning, monitoring and maintenance of service levels for this significant project.
You will manage a Rostering team and Recruitment Consultants; ensuring the management of rosters to provide adequate staffing levels required across the program. You will be a team player and a people person, able to effectively communicate with your team and our workforce.

The position will lead the workforce team to develop processes and systems that ensure appropriate delivery of staff resources and meet all contractual and operational staffing requirements. Ensure the successful recruitment of quality staff and delivery of quality front line customer service.

This contract role will end on 28 January 2022, with a further extension as the project dictates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders enabling smooth interfaces across business / function lines and delivering agreed outcomes
  • Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of recording data in line with established client KPIs and quality customer service
  • Effectively produce well planned rosters aimed at improving the level of service provided when engaging with our customers
  • Provide quality reporting
  • Analysis and reporting of workforce performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and on an annual basis
  • Lead the team in workforce management covering off previous, current, and future performance indicators and providing expert recommendations to maximise key KPIs
  • Ensure that staff and other resources are efficiently allocated and managed to meet budget requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on client staffing deficiencies, projected needs, and casual vacancies through regular coordination with Client Services 
  • Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies, and procedures; and
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned to assist in ensuring the success of HCA.

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of rostering systems. - Industry technology related system software applications
  • Significant experience and demonstrated success in people centric, multi-site service businesses.
  • Demonstrated experience in the managing of large workforces with a geographical spread.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading an allocations team
  • Experience in developing and managing the implementation of new systems and processes
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and an ability to collate and present meaningful reports
  • Analytical skills, ability to research and resolve complex issues that support business objective
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong logistics skills – able to analyse workforce demands versus requirements
  • Ability to relate to and with clients.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills across Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced – Inc Power Pivot) and Power Point (Intermediate)
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management and development skills.


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business discipline – e.g. Bachelor of Business, Human Resources
