Where you will be working

Lockhart MPS is situated 70 km south west of Wagga Wagga and is well known for the Spirit of Land festival and the Lockhart Picnic Races. It has a long history of arts and culture and the water tower in the main street is a fine example of the community spirit.

The Lockhart MPS is a 20 bed facility with 5 acute care beds, 15 residential aged care beds. Lockhart MPS provides a 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department, which is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team in Lockhart with specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service.

Lockhart has excellent recreational opportunities with a historical walking track, sports ovals, swimming pool and a caravan park. NSW Police and NSW Ambulance are situated in town. The rural fire brigade support our fire services. 2 local primary schools and a secondary school provide education and there is a care centre in town.

About the Opportunity

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, compassionate person centred care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.

• The ability and confidence to work autonomously

• Previous nursing experience across different fields

• A current AHPRA registration
