Position Summary

About The Role

Mercy Health is currently seeking an experienced General Manager for an exciting and career developing opportunity across three of our Residential Aged Care Homes. Located at Mercy Place Edgewater, Mercy Place Mercyville and Mercy Place Villa Maria, this permanent full-time position requires an active team leader to communicate and promote continuous improvement in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards, as well as prioritise the emotional and physical wellbeing of our valued residents.

The General Manager will be required to liaise with all stakeholders including allied health, hospitality, lifestyle and community activities to deliver best operational and clinical practices. Aged Care experience is desirable, but not essential, and so remains a fantastic and fulfilling opportunity to enter the Aged Care industry.

About You

  • The General Manager will have a strong ability to provide and facilitate all of the following in our homes:
  • High-level HR and people management skills, including staff leadership and development, succession planning and experience in change management.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage residents, families, local communities and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business acumen (i.e. budgets, efficient rostering, occupancy) and aged care knowledge relating to ACFI targets, accreditation and aged care standards.
  • Ability to unite and lead a team focused on high performance and a value-driven culture, demonstrating the person-centred care approach to which we endorse in all facets of the home.
