About Us

Perth Pain is a boutique private specialist practice in the exciting field of pain medicine, we are a patient centred practice and aim to reduce pain and suffering for our patients through medical care delivered with empathy and a whole-person approach.

Our Pain Specialist consults at both Nedlands and Murdoch, 4 days/week will be based at Nedlands with 1 day/week you will be rostered at Murdoch.

This is a permanent full time role, business hours, no late finishes or weekend work; available to commence in 1 week.

  • Our Pain Specialist always run on time with appointments, hence you will not be asked to stay back after business hours. 
  • Rosters are constant and has very minimal of changes. You will not be caught with any surprise changes to your shift last minutes. 
  • We value your skillset and would be happy to support ongoing professional development courses, at our discretion, for suitable team mate. 

Core Duties:

  • General medical administrative duties, including answering phone calls, email and other enquiries; handling fax and any incoming mail; maintain a presentable office and workspace; preparation of patients file prior to their appointment dates.
  • Organisation of patient referrals and coordinate patient bookings in a timely manner. 
  • In-person admin support during clinic sessions, including greeting patients, obtain any necessary information to ensure files are completed, arrange procedure bookings as advised following from consults, process payments and generate consult related invoices.
  • Liaison with hospitals/other health services to ensure all patients medical needs are attended to without prolonged delay. 
  • Any additional tasks as requested by the Doctor.

About You

  • Prior experience in medical reception is essential (experience in specialist medical reception is preferred)
  • Experience in Genie/Gentu medical administration software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent and clear communication skills
  • Outstanding organisation skills and a keen eye for details.

  • Strong work ethic and professionalism.
