About the role:

As a physiotherapist at Little Bodies Therapy you will deliver holistic therapy services to children and their families in a collaborative, evidence-based, and effective manner. Our physiotherapists are expected to work actively with the team around the child, including the child’s family, other therapists, medical professionals and educators. Therapy services may be delivered in a clinic or community setting, including the child’s home or school. In this role you are an integral member of the multi-disciplinary therapy team and are responsible in promoting evidence-based practice, managing your caseload and liaising with senior therapists with strategies to provide gold-standard therapy intervention to your clients.

Jobs & Responsibility:

• Work with the child and their family to help achieve their individual goals
• Participate in ongoing professional development
• Demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information and professional advice to clients, their families, educators and carers
• Undertake thorough, sensitive and detailed clinical assessment
• Formulate and deliver individual physiotherapy intervention using clinical reasoning skills and evidence based practice
• Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication methods to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs
• Liaise with external stakeholders including NDIS, other disability service providers and health professionals

Essential criteria:

• Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent tertiary qualification essential
• Experience in Paediatric Physiotherapy desirable
• Registration with the Physiotherapy Registration Board (AHPRA)

Other criteria:

• Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current CPR certificate
• National Police Clearance certificate (no older than 6-months)
• Current Drivers License and a reliable car

Key requirements:

• Experience delivering assessment and therapy services within a clinic, home and community setting
• Experience with administration and interpretation of standardized assessments
• Experience in working in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in working with families with complex challenges and liaising with a range of government departments
• Passionate about guiding children with different abilities to be their very best selves
• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong work ethic
• Exceptional communication skills
• Competence with desk and portable technology including cloud-based admin and client management systems
