About the Role

This 12-month fixed-term role will see you working to enhance and protect the reputation of Monash Health by acting as a liaison for media organisations and championing our social media channels.

Key aspects of the role are:

  • Identify, develop, and secure positive news stories, across a range of media outlets and for Monash Health’s owned publishing channels

  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with local, state and national media

  • Leading the planning and management of media opportunities and events

  • Responding to media enquiries and incidents that attract attention

  • Being part of a rotating team that monitors the 24-hour Monash Health Media Line

  • Helping to develop and grow our social media channels

  • Operating our social media platforms effectively and strategically

A critical element of this role is ensuring that patients remain at the centre of our work and that patient privacy and dignity are respected at all times. As part of our close-knit team, you will also assist across a broad range of areas, including web, digital/multimedia, brand management, internal communications and more.

About You

You are passionate about communications and are looking to apply your skills and experience in a responsible and community centred organisation. You hold a degree in Communications, Journalism or a related discipline and bring several years’ experience in a similar role.
