What You Will Be Doing

The Cognition Service as part of Peninsula Health is a multidisciplinary team providing a subacute inpatient Clinical Lead position, and a community based diagnostic service (CDAMS) within the Rehabilitation Ageing, Pain and Palliative Care Service (RAPPS) cluster.
The Cognition Lead (RAPPS) provides expert consultation, assessment and support for subacute inpatients with a cognitive impairment and provides education and support for staff, encouraging best practice dementia care.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
  • Current registration as Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional with the
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or eligibility for membership of
professional association (for non-registered professions)
  • Demonstrated recent experience in caring for people with dementia
  • Demonstrated research capability
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team
  • A commitment to the ongoing development of cognition as a speciality area
  • Extensive specialised knowledge, skills and experience in assessment and
management of people presenting with cognition impairment and changes in
behaviour that impact their care or the carer
