Who Are We

looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapist committed to making a difference in the lives of children living with Autism and their families. This role is based at AnglicareSA Autism Specific Early Leaning Child Care Centre (ASELCC), which provides integrated early intervention, education and therapy to children up to the age of 6 years within a specialised childcare setting. What can you expect to be doing?
  • Develop, implement and evaluate group based therapy programs for children with ASD.
  • Provide written reports, progress notes and assessments, including comprehensive recommendations to colleagues, families and other professionals.
  • Inform the multi-disciplinary team with advice, plans and strategies with regard to OT discipline specific related services to children within the program.
  • Support, guide and advise childcare staff in the delivery of small group programs.
  • Facilitate workshops to families and professionals in the ASD and education sectors.
What do you need to bring?
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, with up to date registrations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • A broad knowledge of discipline specific assessment and treatment techniques and their application to children living with ASD
  • Experience in program planning development and evaluation
  • Ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced environment
