This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

The Specialist Palliative Care Service is based on the Long Jetty Health Care campus, and requires permanent full time and part time dynamic and motivated RN's to work across different locations, including hospital patients referred to our consultation service, working in Intake/Triage or based in the community seeing people at home or in RACFs. For the full time position, work hours and days are 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday, with weekends rostered regularly [eg every 4-6 weeks, with the following Monday/Tuesday as days off]. The part time position work hours are 0830 to 1700 Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday rotating fortnightly.

The roles work with other team members to support clients and their families through to End of Life care and death. Experience in Palliative Care is preferred. The roles will require participation in an on call roster from 5.00pm to 8.30pm after a qualifying period. The positions are varied and interesting and require a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and eMR. A solid individualised orientation program is provided for new Team members, where you will learn all aspects of the role. We are a small multi-disciplinary team who works collaboratively to support patients and families across the Central Coast. A current Australian driver's license is a prerequisite.

An eligibility list for upcoming temporary or permanent full time or part time vacancies will be established from this requisition.

The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing specialist Palliative nursing care to patients and clients of the health service.
