The Pharmacy Manager is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, leading the provision of a quality pharmacy service to assist patients/ clients of the health service and network facilities to address their health and wellbeing needs.

Selection criteria

  1. Current registration/ authority to practice as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated experience in hospital or retail pharmacy service management, staff supervision, coordination of services, and provision of staff mentoring and education.
  3. Comprehensive clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience, and a demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development with a working knowledge of guidelines relating to Highly Specialised Drugs Programs and Special Access Scheme
  4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team as well as with the wider multi-disciplinary workforce
  5. Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
  6. Well developed and proven organisation, planning and leadership skills with the ability to implement initiatives and provide on-going review of work practices
  7. Demonstrated ability to use both written and verbal communication to clearly and concisely interact with both patients and a multi-disciplinary workforce.
  8. Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
