Provide sterile and thermally disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care, in accordance with Australian standards, NSW Health and local policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions developed by CSSD management.

Selection criteria

  1. Demonstrated understanding of WHS and infection control principles and how these pertain to the sterilisation service
  2. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, operating independently within role delineation.
  3. Sound attention to detail to ensure accuracy to meet required standard of the Sterilising Department.
  4. Basic computer literacy including the use of email, internet, intranet and word processing.
  5. Ability to produce accurate, legible written documentation.
  6. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays
