Are you passionate about making a difference to a child's life? The team at OKAY Therapy are looking to expand and are searching for motivated and skilled Speech Pathologists to join our supportive team.

OKAY Therapy is a growing private practice based in the Geelong region. Our wonderful team of therapists work closely together to provide holistic and individualised services for children, adolescents and families. We are committed towards achieving client focused goals by providing meaningful, innovative and evidence based therapy to build relationships and enable positive change for children, caregivers and their support network. 

About the role:

We are looking for fun, motivated and passionate Speech Pathologists to join our friendly and dedicated team. The role will allow flexible working hours and conditions (2-5 days per week) to cater for our increasing demand for services.

As a Speech Pathologist at OKAY Therapy you will be providing assessments and individual therapy to children and adolescents with varying needs and diagnoses.

Your duties will include:

  • Work with a varied paediatric caseload across a range of settings (clinic, home and community). Opportunities to develop and expand into an area of your interest!
  • Administering individual and comprehensive assessment, goal setting and intervention to children to meet their needs.
  • Delivery of individual, family-centred programs for our clients.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, school support staff and other allied health professionals.
  • Timely and high standard completion of documentation, including assessment and progress reports, file notes and administration tasks in line with policy, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience:

  • Qualified Speech Pathologist (Bachelor or Masters Degree).
  • Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.
  • Access to own transport with a current driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence based assessment and management for speech and language disorders.
  • Experience working with Paediatric feeding and swallowing disorders is desirable. 
  • Experience in the use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication, both low and high-tech is desirable. 
  • At least 1-2 years experience working with a paediatric caseload (desirable).
  • A passion to work with children and their families.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
