About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Extended Care Assistant (Night Duty) to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of passionate and committed aged care professionals at our Strathdevon facility, based in Latrobe, Tasmania. We work together by providing personalised care and support to deliver the BEST possible care and services to our residents to meet their individual needs and preferences.
You will be responsible for:
  • Assisting residents with assisted daily living and mobility duties such as showering, feeding and toileting to enhance daily life
  • Building and maintaining supportive relationships with residents, clients and their families to strengthen relationships within the business and local community
  • Recognising changes in residents’ conditions and report observations and concerns

About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Certificate III in individual support or equivalent
  • Previous experience within the aged care sector
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
  • Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
You will need:
  • A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
  • A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
