Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team!

Do you have a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with at least 3 years experience working in a relevant area with post-registration qualifications deemed appropriate by the organisation?

Do you have highly developed written and verbal communication skills with advanced interpersonal and problem solving skills?

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) will support the nurse unit manager with weekly staff surveillance swabbing as part of the Staff Health & Surveillance Swabbing Team. This role will require immunisation experience and certificate or working towards. You will also have knowledge of staff health screening and compliance to plan and co-ordinate patient and staff vaccinations.
