What you'll be doing
To provide Secretarial and Administrative support to the Oncology and Palliative Care Staff Specialists within the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre. To act as a liaison person, maintaining good communication with all levels of staff within the department, other departments of the hospital, outside agencies and visitors. Attend to the needs of customers of Macarthur Cancer Therapy Services courteously, with diplomacy and always maintaining the confidentiality required of the position.

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Previous Secretarial/Administrative experience including diary management, meeting preparation, minute taking and follow-up.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide a professional customer focused service, to communicate effectively with all levels of staff (written and verbal).
  3. Working knowledge / experience in computer software e.g. Microsoft package, Outlook, E-mail/Calendar, patient information systems, PAS, Powerchart.
  4. Demonstrated and well developed planning, organisation and problem solving skills with the ability to show initiative and work unsupervised.
  5. Experience in Transcription and Dictaphone typing.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to maintain strict confidentiality in relation to work undertaken.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to achieve results through liaison, negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution.
