Facility Educator - Registered Nurse Level 3

We are seeking a suitably qualified individual to take on the role of Facility Educator.

The position is responsible for the planning and development of education and training programs that address the strategic direction of the Hospital.

The Educator will work in partnership with the Director of Nursing, Department Managers, Staff, Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety to deliver identified programs.

The Educator will take a leadership role in the coordination, delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the Hospital and manages the Hospital orientation program for new employees.

The Educator will develop, deliver and maintain an ongoing Graduate Nurse program for Nursing Staff and provide learning packages that meet the needs of staff across departments.

The Educator will coordinate/facilitate competency programs for new staff.

The incumbent will work as part of the health care team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the hospital, participate in working parties or committees (as required), demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, Work Health and Safety, achievement of hospital accreditation and deliver a high standard of Clinical Excellence and Customer Service at all times.

Position Requirements:
Recent Clinical and Clinical Education Experience
Current AHPRA Registration
Ability to deliver and present teaching programs and objectively evaluate and assess learning outcomes
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Act as a role model to staff
Excellent leadership, team building skills and interpersonal skills
