STATUS: Part Time, Fixed Term

HOURS: 56.0 hours per fortnight (eft split available)

A great opportunity exists for skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Medical Imaging team in this Long Service Leave replacement role. This contract is currently available until early September however this may be extended. Secondment requests will be considered as will applications for a portion of these hours.

The Position:

In this role you will enjoy being part of a collaborative and supportive team environment whose focus is on providing high quality, effective care. This position will work as part of a small nursing team providing patient centred and compassionate nursing care to Medical Imaging clients and assisting in procedural radiology examinations within BRHS in conjunction with Consultant Radiologists and Medical Imaging team members.

The Department:

BRHS Medical Imaging incorporates a modern, dynamic department providing a range of services using state of the art equipment. It is a busy service which liaises closely with the Emergency Department, Wards, local Doctors and Visiting Specialists and is complimented by the expertise of visiting Radiologists.

What you need:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and completion of a Nurse Graduate Program
  • Minimum of 1 year post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical assessment and care planning with a good understanding of and commitment to providing patient centred care with a compassionate approach.
  • Proven ability to maintain advocacy in all stages of clinical care.
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical imaging nursing with the capacity to provide specialist nursing care as appropriate to the role.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to utilise key principles to ensure effective transfer of information and escalation of care.
