The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria is currently seeking a motivated clinician to be a part of a dynamic small clinical response team to assist with triage, diagnosis and determine the nature of specialised support required. 

This position provides an opportunity to provide clinical services to people living with various levels of anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and to provide a suite of supporting psycho educational programs assisting with the individual’s recovery journey.

This includes undertaking assessments and ongoing care in accordance with best practice and clinical guidelines for the treatment of the various anxiety disorders.

 Local Work Environment.

The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria (ARCVic) provides support, recovery, early intervention and educational services to people and families living with anxiety disorders, and a range of education and consultation services to professionals and agencies. We recently received new funds to engage a small specialist clinical mental health team which would work in unison with existing ARCVic programs. This will allow ARCVic to provide an immediate response to immediate need for people living with mild-to-severe and complex anxiety disorders, specifically with OCD regardless of where they may be along their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery of a range of therapeutic services to clients.

• Assessment, formulation and treatment planning.

• Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of client management plans.

• Provision of profession-specific consultation and advice to other members of the multidisciplinary team.

• Liaise with families, the community and other service providers as appropriate.

• Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs.

• Maintaining a strong focus on risk assessment process and management of risk.

• Contribute to quality improvement processes.

• Taking an active role in the management of work, health and issues pertaining to the specific work area to ensure a safe work environment and safe practice for staff. 

Selection Criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration

• Able to demonstrate nursing management experience in a mental health setting.

• High level of interpersonal, communication and multi-disciplinary team skills and the capacity to operate effectively in a clinical environment.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to communicate clearly and document legibly
