About General Medicine at Monash Medical Centre


Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.


Ward 42 provides holistic care to General Medicine patients accommodating 40 patients on the ward. Patients are admitted with a wide variety of acute medical problems for care through until their discharge home, or to another facility including aged care services or rehabilitation.

About the Role


Ward 42 are requiring Registered Nurses who are passionate about their career and growing their skills and knowledge around General Medicine and providing patient centred care at its best. With your caring and engaging manner you will be required to work within a team that communicate and work together in this faced paced, demanding environment.



  • Permanent part time and full time positions 

  • 7 day a week rotational roster including night duty

  • Delivery of a high standard of patient care and demonstrating the ability to escalate care of the deteriorating patient

  • Mentoring and precepting graduates and new staff to the wards

  • Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking

  • Support and education provided to expand Nursing skills and knowledge.


About You


You are an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for this area of Nursing. You are able to demonstrate the key requirements of the roles and ideally possess and practice in line with the Monash health iCARE values.


What you need:



  • Demonstrated experience in an acute care setting ideally in the area of General Medicine

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Relevant Working Visa
