JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists to join a team of SSS Speech Pathologists providing needs-based service provision in the NEVR Outer East Area. The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary Area based team to build the capacity of schools to support children and young people to access their education. The ability to undertake speech pathology assessment and interventions that support students and schools are a key element of the role. This 1.0 EFT, AH2, Speech Pathology position.

Full Time - Fixed Term - January 31 2022

Student Support Services (SSS) assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and network levels.

SSS comprise a broad range of professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists, and social workers. SSS staff work as part of an integrated health and wellbeing team within networks of schools, focusing on providing group based and individual support, workforce capacity building, and the provision of specialised services.

SSS staff do vital work in supporting students' health and wellbeing - particularly our most vulnerable students - and SSS are critical to building an excellent education system that reduces the impact of disadvantage.
