JOB DESCRIPTION

The Orthopaedic ward at RNSH is seeking an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse to join their team. The position is temporary full time or part time.

Where you'll be working

5W and 5E together make up 60 orthopaedic specialty beds within the Clinical Services Building at Royal North Shore Hospital. We are a major tertiary referral hospital as well as a trauma centre for NSW. We have a dynamic nursing team as well as interdisciplinary team of allied health staff within our unit, with a strong focus on patient centred care.

What you'll be doing

The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.

Remuneration: $29.26 - $31.80 per hour
