The Role
In this permanent full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of sponsor and investigator led studies into musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and surgical research. You will lead a team of 3 Research Nurses and report into the Research Operations Manager.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading the team to manage the portfolio of research studies from conception through to close off
  • Collaborating with Principal Investigators to develop and manage clinical research protocols and research budgets
  • Managing the feasibility assessment and governance process for new studies
  • Overseeing the recruitment of participants into clinical studies
  • Contributing to the expanding clinical trial portfolio by supporting upcoming trials and working with colleagues to ensure a high standard of trial management
  • Building strong relationships with departments across Epworth, clinicians, investigators, sponsors, donors, granting bodies and other research participants

To be successful in this role…
An experienced research professional with hands-on clinical research experience, you will already be a team leader or a coordinator looking to step up into their next role. A strong communicator, you have an empathetic and supportive approach and the ability to build strong productive relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders. You have an eye for process improvement and quickly fixing issues that come your way.

You will have

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing or health sciences
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a clinical research setting with experience managing clinical research projects
