JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Part-time (0.8EFT) 6-month program with educational support
  • Expand your knowledge and skills across Intensive Care
  • Post-graduate equivalent studies creating an academic bridge between undergraduate and post graduate study

The Program
Increasingly complex patient presentations and multi-faceted workloads means that today’s nurses need to develop the necessary confidence, skills and knowledge to identify and manage deteriorating patients.

In the Introduction to Specialty Practice Program, based in Richmond, you will enhance your ability to deliver excellence in patient care within the Intensive Care setting. Through your 6-month program, commencing in July 2021, you will be supported by a designated Clinical Education team, attend seven study days and produce academic work consistent with a postgraduate level.

You will experience online learning, group work in class sessions and clinical simulation and demonstrate your development through the completion of clinical hurdles and academic assessments, including: an oral presentation, written assignment and a written examination.

You will have

  • A keen interest in Intensive Care nursing
  • Current AHPRA nursing registration
  • Completed your graduate program by the commencement of the program
  • Acute clinical nursing experience
  • Full unrestricted working rights in Australia
