Liverpool Hospital is recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) to complement and enhance the current Diabetes Education Department.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. At least 3 years experience in the clinical specialty and a relevant post-registration qualification.
  2. Credentialled Diabetes Educator with extensive clinical experience and knowledge working with insulin pumps (CSII) and CGMs.
  3. Experience in working with people with diabetes (all type of Diabetes) and their families/carers in a multidiciplinary team environment.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  6. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  7. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care
  8. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
