Child and Family Health Nurses play a key role in the provision of community child and family health services and provide early contact with families. They are well placed to identify and consider the health needs and well-being of children and families and apply nursing knowledge and skills in their care. Our team supports Greater Newcastle Sector and employees travel across the LGA offering services to clients.

Where you'll be working:
This position will see you join an innovative team that is firmly focused on supporting parents and families by empowering parents with knowledge. Our Child and Family Health Nursing services offer newborn home and clinic visits, immunisation, growth and development advice and support, personal health record checks (blue book) 0-4 yrs and hearing clinics. We also offer parenting information and support, parenting groups, breastfeeding support and advice and support on sleep and settling. Upon commencement you will recieve a personally tailored orientation program on ongoing support.

About you:
The successful candidates will be passionate in promoting primary healthcare, early intervention and illness prevention. You will have excellent communication and interpsronal skills for interacting with others in a personable and professional manner and demonstrated capacity to advocate for and implement individualised client centred care.
