About The Opportunity
The Patient Safety & Quality (PSQ) Officer will provide assistance in implementing quality systems across SWSLHD. This will include managing Reportable Incident Briefs, serious adverse event review (SAER) methodologies and follow up root cause analysis (RCA) recommendations.

What you'll be doing
The SWSLHD Clinical Governance Patient Safety Team is responsible for development, management and implementation of health system initiatives across the SWSLHD. The position supports the Director Clinical Governance and the Patient Safety team in coordinating projects aimed at improving the operational efficiency and performance effectiveness and quality of services and functions within the SWSLHD. The Patient Safety & Quality (PSQ) Officer will provide assistance in implementing quality systems across SWSLHD. This will include managing Reportable Incident Briefs, serious adverse event review (SAER) methodologies and follow up root cause analysis (RCA) recommendations.
 
 

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Tertiary qualification and experience in management, health service management or health administration, or equivalent or relevant work experience.
  2. Understanding of the role of clinical governance in the health sector.
  3. Ability to demonstrate commitment to safe high quality care.
  4. Effective written, oral and interpersonal skills to enable: (1) engagement with a broad range of stakeholders; and (2) preparation of clear and concise business documents.
  5. Demonstrated ability and motivation to work as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  6. Proficient computer literacy and competency to support requirements of the position.
  7. Demonstrated high level project management and problem solving skills and related experience with capacity to successfully manage diverse, complex and competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  8. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
