JOB DESCRIPTION

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville Campus.


Non-Accredited Registrar (Internal applicants only)



The Non-Accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Registrars are expected to join in all activities of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department and work closely with the Accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Registrars. The Registrars will be expected to participate in the on call roster and teaching activities within the Department.



Pre-SET HMO PGY3+ (Internal and External applicants)



The Pre-SET HMO PGY3+positions rotate through four rotations of 13 week rotations including the following:


• Two Orthopaedic Surgery HMO rotations at RMH;


• One Orthopaedic Surgery HMO rotation at Wangaratta; and


• One relieving/cover term or additional rotation in Wangaratta.


There are four positions available to PGY3 & PGY4 who wish to gain further experience in Orthopaedic Surgery prior to either applying for SET or an Unaccredited position in 2023.
