We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, positive and caring Registered Nurse who excels in a team environment. One who prides themselves on delivering exceptional patient care to join the team on a Permanent Full Time / Part Time basis if you value positive patient experience and thrive in a team environment then this position could be for you.

Registered Nurse – Radiation Therapy Nurse - Sunshine


We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre (SHRTC). This is a permanent part-time (0.6EFT) position starting 26th July 2021.


The Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre (SHRTC) operates from Monday through Friday from 0800-1800, with occasional weekend and public holiday work. The centre offers specialised services to patients receiving radiotherapy, this includes patient education, wound management, coordination of patients supportive care needs and chemotherapy administration.


SHRTC strives to provide a high standard of holistic care for all oncology and haematology patients. Our unit has a strong focus on expert multi-disciplinary coordination of patient care and a firmly demonstrated commitment to managing all side effects of patients who undertake treatment with us.


 To be successful in this role you possess:



  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in cancer nursing and the care of people undergoing radiotherapy treatment.

  • Competency in the administration of antineoplastic drugs (ADAC competency or equivalent)

  • Competency in intravenous cannulation and the management of central venous access devices

The Chemotherapy Day Unit (CDU) is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Oncology Trained Registered Nurses on a casual basis (BANK). The CDU operates from Monday to Friday from 0800-1730. The treatment area includes 15 chemotherapy chairs and a procedure room with 2 recovery bays for oncology related invasive procedures.


To be successful for this role you must meet the following:


• Experience in IVC/CVAD/chemo is essential for this role


• Chemotherapy competency (eviQ 8 x ADAC modules preferred)


• Experience administering chemotherapy


• Ability to work 0800-1630 and 0900-1730 shifts

Registered Nurse – Day Oncology Unit – Sunshine


Day Oncology is currently seeking experienced nurses to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit (CDU). We have fixed-term and permanent roles available. The Day Oncology Unit is located at Sunshine Hospital on 1E and operates from Monday to Friday from 0800-1730.


The role of the Registered nurse in CDU includes, administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other therapeutic treatment to patients affected by cancer, patient education and symptom management. Applicants must be competent in chemotherapy administration, intravenous cannulation and central line management.


This position also provides opportunities to the registered nurse to further their own professional development within cancer services, with the expectation to rotate between the specialities of Ambulatory Cancer Services.


Desired competencies:


• Chemotherapy Administration (ADAC preferred)


• IV Cannulation


• CVAD Management
