Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking dynamic Registered Nurses to join our JL Theatres POD team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!

Do you hold current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)?

Do you have demonstrated understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking?

This is a Scrub/Scout position for JL Operating Theatres POD 4 (Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Urology, Melanoma, Paediatrics, 24 hour Obstetric emergencies, Robotic Surgery).

The position involves a fast paced area with high patient acuity and requires excellent organizational skills, very good communication and documentation skills, computer literacy and easy adaptability to quick changing situations.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

To be considered for this role you must have…

  • The ability to participate in a seven day rotating roster (includes night and weekend shifts plus on call).

  • At least one year Operating Theatre experience/skills.

  • Australian Work Rights.
