Some facilities also offer emergency, acute care, aged care and allied health. Rural based positions offer the opportunity to expand your skills and fast track your career through gaining a breadth of experience that takes years to achieve in larger facilities. All of this in a stimulating and supportive workplace.

While at times it will be hard, others challenging, we can promise your work will always be rewarding and you will be backed by others in the nursing team in a collaborative work environment and will be developed professionally by our district’s Clinical Nurse Educators and Consultants.

This is truly a fabulous opportunity to fast track your career by experiencing the wide scope of practice only a rural setting can bring. The rewards are immense. In a small, close knit team you will be well supported and your dedication will be seen and appreciated.

You will be an integral member of the community and you’ll see not only the results of your care, but the appreciation of the community of the role you play in their health. What’s more, you’ll have the career opportunities only a large organisation such as Western NSW Local Health District with close to 90 facilities and over 7500 staff, can provide.

As a remote area position, this position may offer incentives to prospective employees which can include relocation assistance, accommodation subsidy, professional development and flexible work practices. If you are the successful candidate you may discuss these incentives before accepting the position.

This is a targeted position in accordance with GSE Rule 26: Employment of eligible persons.Whereby Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply and, where found suitable, will be given higher priority under affirmative action in order to improve access to employment and career opportunities.
