JOB DESCRIPTION

The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria (ARCVic) is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated clinician to be a part of a dynamic small clinical response team to assist with triage, diagnosis and determine the nature of support required.

This position provides an opportunity to provide clinical services to people living with various levels of anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and to provide a suite of supporting psycho educational programs assisting with the individual's recovery journey.

This includes undertaking assessments and ongoing care in accordance with best practice and clinical guidelines for the treatment of the various anxiety disorders.

LOCAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Anxiety Recovery Centre Victoria provides support, recovery, early intervention and educational services to people and families living with anxiety disorders, and a range of education and consultation services to professionals and agencies. We recently received new funds to engage a small clinical mental health team which would work in unison with existing ARCVic programs. This will allow ARCVic to provide an immediate response to immediate need for people living with mild-to-severe and complex anxiety disorders, specifically with OCD regardless of where they may be along their recovery journey.

AS A SENIOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Providing leadership to the ARCVic response team including relevant referral triaging and clinical supervision to both ARCVic staff and volunteers Providing psychological interventions to clients (which may include administration and interpretation of the SCID, PAI or other psychometric scales). Facilitating groups and training across ARCVic's Workshop and Seminar Program. Participating in the development and review of programs as required. Coordination of program timetables as required. Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and representing the psychology discipline as needed. Participating in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate. Please specify experience in working with child / adolescent mental health experience and or working with adults SELECTION CRITERIA: Current registration with AHPRA Appropriate recognised qualifications in Psychology (ie. Masters, DPsych or Phd) Endorsement in Clinical Psychology Registration and experience as an approved supervisor desirable Experience in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is desirable Exceptional time management and communication skills Ability to work autonomously Membership to APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
