Introduction

Assessments Australia (a MAX Solutions company) provides the Assessment Service for the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD-AS) for the Victorian Department of Education and Training in the categories of Intellectual Disability (ID) and Severe Language Disorder with Critical (SLD – CEN) Educational Needs.

The opportunity

 As a Senior Psychologist within the PSD-AS, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage workflow and meet the needs of the assessment service
  • Provide support to Staff and Contractor Psychologists, in the form of mentoring, case discussion and feedback on reports
  • Review referrals from schools to determine whether they are appropriate to proceed to assessment, and provide feedback and consultation to school staff around these decisions
  • Complete some assessments and travel, as required, typically during peak periods.

About you

  • Experience conducting standardised assessments: WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, Vineland
  • Experience working with school aged children and adolescents
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise workflow to tight time frames, handle multiple tasks and be flexible with changing priorities
  • High level IT literacy, particularly in common applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), database and web usages
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Hold or can obtain a new Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
  • Willingness to provide two de-identified assessment reports
