The position will be a site based role in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.

The opportunity

This is a permanent full-time position.

As the Return to Work Coordinator, you will provide subject matter expert advice, coordinate initial injury assessments, advise on appropriate injury treatment and manage the robust return to work of all employees. Reporting to the Health Specialist, you will also drive the early intervention process and strategic improvement projects.

Other Accountabilities include -

  • Regularly monitor injured employee progress to ensure a successful recovery and return to work
  • Liaise with and escalate all complex injury management cases to the IMC Health Specialist
  • Facilitate return to work plans and treatment
  • Complete required Workers Compensation documentation
  • Formulate, coordinate and monitor the return to work process in consultation with injured worker, manager/supervisor, treating medical provider and insurer's case manager.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a graduate qualification in an Allied Health field with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) certification required. You will also have site-based experience in managing multiple complex injuries and illnesses and experience in identifying issues, analysing data and executing technical health related work. A current and valid driver's license is also essential to this role.

Specialisation in soft tissue injury management and knowledge of NSW Coal Mines Insurance Scheme is desirable but not essential.
