About your opportunity
The Townsville Mental Health Service Group has 30 accredited training positions, providing care to patients across the spectrum of mental health services. Specific post allocation is dependent on service and training needs, and the experience of the successful applicant.

The Townsville Hospital and Health Service delivers comprehensive mental health, rehabilitation and addiction assessment and treatment to the North Queensland community. Our programs focus on individual outcomes and each consumer's personal recovery. From children to older persons, we provide services across a number of settings including community care, inpatient units, hospitals, and residential rehabilitation and supported accommodation. Our team also works closely with a number of partner organisations that provide a range of non-acute mental health assistance to our community.

Role requirements:
Proof of qualifications recognised by Queensland Health to practice in Medicine and current registration with or eligible for registration/membership with the Medical Board of Australia.
While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded.
'C' class motor vehicle licence.

Generous remuneration package value up to $166,466 p.a. (+ other applicable allowances/benefits) comprising salary range of $110,712 to $128,362 p.a. (L4-L9), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation, attraction and retention incentive allowance, professional development assistance (leave and vocational training subsidy) and inaccessability allowance (if applicable). Other employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, corporate discounts, wellness programs and the Employee Assistance Program.
