Are you a Registered Pharmacist with a passion for assisting with the protection and immunisation of our community? We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Pharmacists to join our COVID 19 vaccination hubs and clinics in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
Where you'll be working
NSW Health is currently seeking staff for clinical and non-clinical roles to work in its network of COVID-19 vaccination clinics and vaccination hubs located across NSW. You will be part of a dynamic team working together to provide vaccinations to our community against the COVID-19 virus.
It is vital that vaccination clinics and hubs provide clinically safe services with collaboration between multidisciplinary staff across clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver excellence in patient experience. Vaccination clinics and hubs will see you working and partnering with a range of staff and roles from Local Health Districts and other key agencies.
What you’ll be doing – Vaccination Clinic Pharmacists
The Vaccination Clinic Pharmacist role is responsible for the provision of quality pharmaceutical services to consumers within the vaccination clinics. Pharmacists will also provide education and medicines information services to patients and other health care professionals and participate as active members of multi-disciplined teams. Where practicable, the role may be required to work at other vaccination clinics. Adequate notice and consideration will be given should the need arise.
What else do you need to know?
Applicants will be required to provide the following:

  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) number for paid employment in NSW employment
  • Evidence of vaccination against specified infectious diseases

Position Classification: Pharmacist Gde 1-2
Remuneration: $71,007.21 - $93,390.77 per annum (pro rata part time)
Hours Per Week: up to 38 hours (with various shifts available)

Selection Criteria:

  1. Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia without conditions or restrictions. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Award and are expected to be able to demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the Award.
  2. Ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment.
  3. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to the professional development relevant to areas of practice.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of the priorities and requirements of Pharmacy services to consumers.
  5. Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
