What you'll be doing

Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes. Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

To provide leadership and administrative support to the departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Port Macquarie Base, Kempsey and Wauchope Hospitals

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases

If you are applying for a Category A position, under the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2020_017, evidence of current immunity status that complies with the policy must be supplied.

  1. Registered or eligible for registration (without restrictions) with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
  2. Demonstrated recent clincial expeience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the role delineation of the service. 
  3. Demostrated ability to work effectively and collegially as part of a multidisplinary team and provide leadership of a team. 
  4. Demonstrated effective clinical communcation through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. 
  5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  6. Availability to participate in an on-call roster (in addition to regular rostered work consistent with a 0.8FTE position) and to respond on site within a reasonable time. 
  7. Commitment to provide both obstetric and gynaecological inpatient and outpatient care. Clinic locations will be in both Port Macquarie and Kempsey Hospitals.
