Provide strategic leadership, coordination and collaboration within Internal Medicine Services with executive, interprofessional team members and others in service planning, delivery of exemplary, quality focused cost-effective consumer/person centred care, and workforce capacity and capability development.

About The Role

  • Lead a professional capable nursing/midwifery workforce committed to consumer outcomes in the application of evidence-based models of care and professional practice standards to achieve current and projected service demands throughout the Internal Medicine Services.
  • Accountable for strategic leadership, coordination, collaboration with internal and external partners and evaluation of Internal Medicine Service business to facilitate optimal service delivery within available budget and agreed targets.
  • Display leadership integrity that promotes engagement and a positive workplace culture that supports implementation of strategic imperatives, and sustainable change management in a dynamic health care environment.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership in clinical governance, strategic direction, achievement of priorities, and safety and quality imperatives within integrated risk management frameworks that optimise performance.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to facilitate a contemporary and evidence-based approach to the implementation and evaluation of a facility wide patient safety, quality improvement and risk management process and culture.
