  • Multiple Part-time and Full-time positions available, based in Murray Bridge
  • Flexible working hours – availability to work evening and Saturday morning required.

Bridge Clinic, Murray Bridge, offers a wide range of medical care, from consultation by appointment to emergency and casualty medicine, and minor surgery.

Bridge Clinic is a modern architecturally designed clinic, built in the central business district, giving easy access for patients. The Bridge Clinic partners are a vibrant group of doctors with extensive experience in rural general practice. The practice is an accredited Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) training practice and not only host trainees, but also medical students during their sixth-year attachment in rural general practice.

Partners provide obstetric, anaesthetic, surgical and emergency care at the Murray Bridge Hospital. The 60 bed (sub-regional) hospital and the (regional) Murray Mallee Community Health Service serve the local government area of the Rural City of Murray Bridge and the Murray Mallee region.

Bridge Clinic accommodates over 30 visiting medical specialists from Adelaide who provide high quality specialist health care

What you will be doing and will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing appropriate high quality nursing care, effective and timely flow of work, and delivery services and support to doctors, medical staff, patients and other health related agencies associated with the Clinic. To be successful in the role you will be an enthusiastic and motivated person, who loves coming to work. This role does require availability to work evenings and Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a discreet point of contact for doctors and patients, dealing with enquiries and disseminating information.
  • Attending to patient needs and assisting doctors and visiting specialists as required.
  • Administering medications as directed by doctors
  • Contributing to the maintenance of medical supplies, drugs, cleaning schedule, and infection control.
  • Maintaining records for audit purposes and Bridge Clinic management as required
  • Participating in Staff and Team meetings as required
  • Assisting the Nursing Manager with other tasks as required

‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.

  • Current Registered Nursing Qualifications with AHPRA
  • Current Basic Life Support Qualifications
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Previous experience in acute care and general emergency assessment and triage
  • Previous general nursing experience including wound management, sterile procedures, medication administration and perform investigations including ECG’s and spirometry
  • Immunisation training or experience is highly valued.
  • Currently completed or working towards completion of the SA health online course “Understanding Vaccines and the National Immunisation Program’ would be advantageous.
  • Cast application skills not essential but highly valued
  • Strong ability and desire to work within a large team
  • Efficient time management skills and the ability to work in a busy environment
  • Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a broad range of people
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Highly organised, trustworthy and reliable
