The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to work across the Outpatient Physiotherapy and the Advanced-Practice Physiotherapy teams (Emergency Department) at the Northern Hospital Epping (NHE). Two days are based in the Emergency Department and three days in the Outpatient Physiotherapy department. You will have a significant amount of clinical experience in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal & orthopaedic complaints. Through your clinical expertise you will also have a leading role in ensuring excellence in client care, promotion of quality, education of staff and students, team and program development. In the first instance this is Full Time, Fixed-term position until 17 November 2021.

NOTE: Part-time applicants will be considered. Please specify which component of the position you are applying for in your cover letter, if you do not want to be considered for the entire 1.0EFT.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

  • A background which includes significant clinical experience resulting in high level of skill in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Musculoskeletal/Sports Physiotherapy, APA specialisation or equivalent (or working towards)
  • Commitment to work regular weekend shifts and possibly afternoon/evening shifts to match the demands of the Emergency Department is essential
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing patients in the outpatient and emergency department settings
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care
