JOB DESCRIPTION

Rose Bay Medical Practice provides a range of services to our patients and local area in delivering end to end patient care. To assist us in delivering this service, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy team in our Medical Practice located in Rose Bay . In this role, you will work collaboratively with our general practitioners (GPs), practice staff and other relevant care providers to support triaging services and integrated care for our patients.

The suitable candidate will be able to provide comprehensive healthcare to our patients including category 4 & 5 triage services, emergency care, health assessments and care plans.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • To always ensure the highest level of customer care via optimal communication presentation and professional expertise.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients according to accepted nursing practice and standards.
  • Working in consultation with other Health Professionals and members of health teams and coordinating the care of patients.
  • Providing intervention, treatment and therapies such as medications/iron infusions and monitoring responses to treatment and care plans.
  • Performing clinical duties within the level of required competency. Duties include triage, immunization, other injections, wound management, chronic disease management, sterilization and ECGs.
  • Assisting doctors with clinical procedures and maintaining clinical documentation.
  • Ability to assist in minor surgery with our skin cancer surgeon. Must be familiar with surgical equipment to better assist the surgeon
  • Promoting health and encouraging prevention of ill health by participating in health education and other health promotion activities.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of all patient recalls, reminders, outreach programs, GP Management plans and team care arrangements.
  • Answering questions and providing information to patients and families about treatment and care.
  • Supervising and coordinating the work of Enrolled Nurses about treatment and other care workers.
  • Routinely cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces between each episode of patient care in each different treatment room. Taking special care with surfaces that patients have touched directly or that have been exposed to respiratory droplets. All treatment rooms need to be prepared before the start of the working day.
  • Maintaining stock and ordering of clinical supplies, including cold chain management (Government and private vaccines) responsible removal and disposal of out-of-date stock.
  • Up to date with COVID-19 Vaccination training and keeping abreast of all changes
Requirements

Current unrestricted nursing registration with AHPRA.

Minimum 3+ years nursing experience.

Previous care plan/health assessment experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced computer abilities (familiar with Best Practice software, PRODA, and POLAR and AIR)

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Working with Children Check Clearance.

Evidence of Influenza vaccination.

salary 65,000-68,000 plus superannuation
