Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is a dedicated facility for all patients in our local area. It was throughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful managment and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

The Special Care Nursery is a level 4 capability facility delivering safe high quality care to infants born within Northern Beaches Hospital. It is a 12 bed unit caring for babies from 32 weeks that require a higher level of care. Beds consist of 4 high dependency cots, 6 low dependency cots & 2 isolation rooms.

NBH is seeking applications from experienced nurses to work within our Special Care Nursery. We have multiple opportunities available on a casual basis.

As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery, you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, and demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes for premature and sick babies. This challenging and rewarding position will utilise your abilities and see you become a valued member of the team.

You Will Bring To Our High-performing Team

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Post Graduate Certificate in neonatal nursing (or working towards)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with a Level 3 or above SCN
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
  • Flexibility with shift allocation timing

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2015 – 2019 with a salary rage of $33.08-$46.46/hour.
