JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly driven and systematic Speech Pathologist for an established multidisciplinary health clinic in Melbourne.
 
The Company

Our client is an established multidisciplinary health clinic in Melbourne. They provide a collaborative team approach to child, adolescent and adult services.

The Role

The successful candidate is expected to provide occupational therapy services to individuals with a disability within the family home, community, and day programs. The Speech Pathologist will work within a family-centred manner with the individual, family and carers to ensure the highest quality therapy for clients.

 
Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure all therapies are evidence based and specific to the client
  • Maintain appropriate privacy and confidentiality as informed by NDIS Quality Safeguards
  • Ensure prompt completion of session notes and reports for each client
  • Maintain reliability around attendance to appointments and diligent with times.
  • Ensure all requirements are met as outlined within contractors’ contract


Requirements
 
Essentials:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Member – Speech Pathology Australia
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage set caseload
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Enthusiasm and passion to work with individuals with a focus on client centred / family centred model



Desirable:

  • Further evidence of certifications in other methods
  • Relevant work experience with individuals within a disability
  • With a “can-do-attitude” and a team player
