About the role

West Moreton Health serves a population of approximately 252,000 people in a 9,521 kilometres region spanning four local government areas - Scenic Rim Regional Council, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Somerset Regional Council and Ipswich City Council. The hospital and health service (HHS) demographics are diverse and include metropolitan and small rural community settings. Our increasing population and multicultural diversity is enabling us to embark upon innovative and new models of care.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Specialist in Nephrology to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients of the West Moreton HHS (WMHHS)in accordance with the standards of the speciality, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with WMHHS and Queensland Health policies.

Mandatory requirements

Appointments to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
Basic medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in the speciality of Nephrology and appropriate specialist registration as a nephrologist with AHPRA.
Participation in staff development programs including performance appraisal.
