The Project:
The Gippsland Regional Telehealth project aims to develop and implement a Gippsland Regional Telehealth Strategic Plan aligned to the State election promise of improving telehealth, in particular specialist appointments, to enable regional and rural patients to receive care closer to, or in the home.
The Position:
The East Gippsland Telehealth Project Officer will be responsible for facilitating the on the ground roll-out of the Regional Telehealth Plan in the East Gippsland sub-region. The key objective of this role is to assist in the establishment and sustainability of telehealth consultations and/or telehealth clinics to enable clinician and patient access to non-local sub-specialists. In this position you will work in collaboration with the Regional Telehealth Strategic Lead at the regional ‘hub' of Latrobe Regional Hospital supported by BRHS Regional Partnerships and Innovation Lead.
Key criteria required:

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or demonstrated relevant health/technology experience.
* Clinical or other experience working in a health service and an in-depth understanding of hospital outpatient clinics, and the Victorian health service system.
* Proven ability to facilitate change, operate in an environment of change and have the confidence to act as an advocate for change.
* Demonstrated skills in project implementation and reporting, attention to detail and commitment to timelines.
* Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills with a solution focussed approach.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
* Familiarity with video conferencing applications and the skills to support successful room based video conferencing and troubleshooting requirements. Knowledge of and expertise in telehealth will be a strong advantage
