Westside Lodge Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) provides a supportive and safe inpatient environment over a period of three months for people over the age of 18 years and requiring a client-centred, recovery oriented Dual Diagnosis Rehabilitation Program.

We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Clinician to become an integral member of the multidisciplinary team proving both 1:1 and group interventions and support. The Dual Diagnosis Clinician works collaboratively with the NUM, ANUM, Program/Quality Coordinator and Medical and Allied Health staff. The role includes the provision of case management, counselling, facilitation of information and therapeutic groupos, facilitation of admission and discharge requirements of DDRC clients. The Dual Diagnosis Clinician will work across all hours of the service operation, that is, a 24/7 rotating roster. This is an initial 12 month part-time role.

To be Successful in this Role you:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrate capacity to manage and problem solve in crisis situations

  • Hold qualifications in a relevant discipline

  • Minimum qualifications to Certificate IV level in drug and alcohol or mental health or willingness to work towards the same or equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience working with clients with AOD misuse, mental health issues and complex comorbidities

  • Dual diagnosis capability
