Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of a leadership team transforming the culture and capability of JewishCare.

In this role you will provide client clinical care, assessment and review, ongoing clinical support, oversight and supervision of clinical practice to our clients and employees.

You will work towards the implementation of the organisation’s strategic plan and internal operational planning processes, contributing towards the achievement of the plan and organisational vision, mission and objectives.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Be registered with APHRA as a Registered Nurse and have a knowledge of the Aged Care industry and the Aged Care Quality Standards;
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a quality focused role;
  • Have a knowledge of the diverse physical, social, emotional and cultural needs of older persons living in the community;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and be flexible in dealing with changing priorities and be able to provide effective clinical guidance and support to the whole Jewish Care team including Aged and Disability services;
  • Ability to assess client care and cultural needs and design and implement individual support and service plans with strong client service skills and a commitment to providing quality services and implementing continuous improvement;
  • Highly developed written and verbal skills appropriate to the position including working with policy development, records and information management in an electronic environment;
  • Previous experience and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and establish excellent working relationships;

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge, sensitivity and an understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture.
  • Knowledge of the National Disability Standards and Ageing compliance and regulation.
