About BaptistCare Warabrook Aged Care Facility

Set amongst picturesque gardens and a host of convenient amenities, the Warabrook Centre is located in the suburb of Warabrook in Newcastle.


As a well-established centre that supports 153 residents, Warabrook’s trained staff provide kind, friendly and personalised services including respite, palliative and dementia care.


About the role

Reporting to the Residential Manager you will manage and lead a functional team to deliver exceptional customer service to our residents. The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Provision of cleaning and laundry services
  • Ordering, checking and storage of non-clinical consumables
  • Re-stocking of non-clinical consumables to each area
  • Auditing and ordering of linen – in consultation with Residential Manager
  • Assist with follow up of relevant feedback
  • Participate in auditing as required
  • Monitor cleaning & laundry documentation & ensure compliance
  • Assist with purchase / trialling of new equipment as required
  • Assist with team recruitment and performance management

About you

The ideal applicant will have tertiary qualifications in Certificate III in Cleaning Operations or equivalent. You’ll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team with a demonstrated commitment to service delivery whilst having good communication skills and the ability to take direction. You’ll have the ability to follow through with instructions and have empathy and patience in dealing with the elderly.
