About the role:

We are excited to offer the unique role as Clinical Development & Infection Prevention Control Lead to support our residential care homes.

Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for clinical education and development of our site teams, and enhancing and maintaining site infection prevention and control programs through audit procedures, particularly related to Covid prevention and management. You will also play a key role in the management of outbreaks in conjunction with the senior clinical team.

In this position you will;

Move around to other homes within your region as required.

Be willing to work during an outbreak of COVID 19

Be willing to work as required on weekends during an outbreak

Demonstrate a warm friendly disposition with optimal ability to communicate using several platforms

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of Anglicare’s outbreak management plan
  • Provide planned clinical guidance, education, and communications to resident’s families (during an outbreak)
  • Implementation and assessment of best practice in infection control
  • Support the Residential Manager/Care Manager to fulfill the objectives they have for the effective and efficient clinical management of the facility
  • Compliance with WHS legislation and Policy and Procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and systems.

About You;

  • Have 3 years experience as Registered Nurse with current APHRA registration
  • Certificate in Infection, Prevention control (or willingness to obtain). We will provide fully funded accredited training.
  • Post Graduate Certificate or agree to obtain in 12 months
  • Experience as educator or qualification in adult education and learning
  • Willingness to travel
  • Flexible with work hours to meet 24/7 operation
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Awareness of Aged care and quality standards, Clinical governance, quality and compliance (desirable)
